Step-By-Step Instructions
You are going to need a hairdryer, a glove, a pair of scissors and your clubs.
From Caddy Wrap, you will need a "Heat Shrink Box" and our wraps (specific to your club types).
Each order comes with a "Mulligan" it is a teaching wrap that lets you get comforatble learning how to put it on and take it off.
Remove all stickers, logos, tape & dirt from your clubs.
(*Adhesive remover helps)
The Wrap will hide under the grip when finished.
It's important to make straight cuts.
Pinch down the seam to make sliding it on easier. It might be a little tight, but work it down and remember that our wraps are grip size specific.
Make sure the seam is on the back of the club & the wrap is touching the ferrule.
(*Tape the ferrule side first, then the grip side.)
Remove everything from the box: "Close-It-Up / "Tee-It-Up" & pre-heat the box with the hair dryer on high heat and high air flow for 2 minutes.
Put the club in the box and close it up, tee it up and heat it up for 3-4 minutes or until the wrap is completely smooth against the club.
Caution, the club will be hot. Once the wrap is complete, use your glove to make any finishing movements to the wrap, typically ensuring that the wrap is pushed carefully up against the ferrule.
Finally, pull the grip back down and go play in style!
Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Yes! Caddy Wraps are fully compliant and permitted under the rules of golf (Per the USGA), so you can play in tournaments or casual rounds without any issues.
Yes, we offer 2 different types:
- Irons: These are designed to slide over regular and mid-sized grips (not oversized grips).
- Drivers, Woods & Putters: This size is designed to go on drivers and woods by removing the club head from the shaft. Putters typically need to have the grip removed and replaced in order to fit a standard putter due to most putters typically having an oversized grip.
It takes about 5 minutes to wrap a club.
*Pro Tip: If you are wrapping multiple clubs it goes a bit faster if you prep your next club while 1 club is in the heat shrink box.
Our warranty provides a guarantee against manufacturer defects (If you get your wraps and notice a defect, please reach out to us and let us know).
We do not provide a warranty against normal wear and tear. Our wraps are considered a layer of protection for your clubs, so they may get dinged every now and then, but that's the point. It's better that the wrap takes the scratch or ding and not your shaft.
Our wraps are built to handle the everyday wear and tear of the golf course. They’re made from high-quality materials that can withstand the elements. We have tested them in thousands of rounds and have seen little to no impact. That said, you can still scratch them up / ding them up -but that’s kind of the point! We are providing style, but we are also provide a protective layer for your golf clubs. I'd rather scuff up my wrap than my clubs. But if you are having any issues, reach out to us and let us know, we are always here to help.
Yes they are. Caddy Wraps are designed to handle all kinds of weather conditions (rain, sun, wind) -they’re built to stick with you through it all. The materials we use are durable and weather-resistant, so your clubs stay protected and looking great, no matter what the course throws at you.
Yes. Just wipe them down with a damp cloth. No special cleaners or maintenance required, just a quick wipe, and you’re good to go.
You will want to remove any stickers or branding on the shaft before wrapping them, because that will show through and be noticeable.
Graphite shafts (like your drivers) often times have logos or bold colors on them, you’ll want to be cautious with what wraps you choose. For example a lot of our lighter wraps, especially solid white or light blue might allow the design of the shaft to peek through so it's something to think about when you are choosing your wrap colors and designs.
Absolutely, yes. Caddy Wraps are perfect for both new and old golf clubs. For new clubs, they add an extra layer of protection and style. For older clubs, they’re a great way to refresh and protect your shafts, adding new life to your set.
No, Caddy Wraps are designed for single use, meaning once they’ve been applied and shrunk onto your clubs, they can’t be reused.
However, they’re easy to remove without damaging your clubs, so when you’re ready for a fresh look, you can swap them out with a new wrap!
How often you replace your Caddy Wrap depends on you. How often do you want a new look? Generally, our wraps are durable and long-lasting, but if they start to show signs of heavy use—like scratches or dings—you may want to replace them to keep your clubs looking fresh. Otherwise, replace them whenever you’re ready.
If you can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you can wrap your clubs!
If you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, no worries! We’ve teamed up with hundreds of pro shops across the country that can install the wraps for just $5 per club. But trust us—it’s easy.
Plus, with your first order, we give you a “mulligan wrap” so you can practice and feel confident in your abilities.
Yes, you will be cooler— But if you are going to put our wraps on, promise us you won't be an ass out there. Keep a good pace of play, fix your divots, be kind and have fun.
Caddy Wraps are more than just looks—they’re about feeling more connected to the game and enjoying every moment on the course. Now that’s cool.
It sounds like you didn't pre-heat your box and you didn't give it enough time.
If you followed the instructions and there are wrinkles running up and down the shaft, don’t worry! Just pop the club back into the heat shrink pro box for a little longer. Use the window to check if the wrap has fully shrunk and the wrinkles have smoothed out. It’s all about giving it the right amount of heat and time to get a smooth finish.
Yes, safety first! When using Caddy Wrap, keep in mind that the box and its contents get hot during the process and can cause injury. Make sure to let everything cool down before handling it and when needed, use gloves for safety. Also, do not use a hair dryer above 1,200 watts, and to reduce the risk of fire, avoid exceeding 6 minutes of continuous use. Prolonged exposure to heat may damage your golf club, so always follow the instructions and use at your own risk.
The Caddy Wrap, Heat Shrink Box™ is specially designed to give your clubs a smooth, professional finish when applying Caddy Wraps. It makes the process easy and fun! Yes, for sure (It's called a "Heat Box").
Use caution, especially while you are wrapping a club with the hair dryer "on". There are ports on each side of the box that vent heat, so don't put anything near them that shouldn't get warm, including your hands, face or just about anything. Make sure you let it cool down after wrapping your club. just give it a few minutes to cool off, and you’ll be good to go! If you end up having to touch the club for any reason wear gloves.
